The Ute District Annual Awards Program consists of the following major award categories:
- JAMES N. MOORE, UTE DISTRICT "UBET" AWARD
- UTE DISTRICT SPARK PLUG AWARD
- UTE TRIBAL AWARD
- UTE DISTRICT SCOUTER OF THE YEAR AWARD
- THE BOB WHITE OUTSTANDING COMMISSIONER SERVICE AWARD
- UTE DISTRICT LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
- UTE DISTRICT AWARD OF MERIT
- UTE DISTRICT TALON AWARD
These awards are for service rendered the preceding year or, as appropriate, a number of preceding years, and are presented annually, usually in January, at the Ute District Awards Banquet. This banquet is an opportunity to recognize those individuals who help make your Scouting Program work and to support and applaud the efforts of the other individuals throughout the District who help their units succeed. All Adult Scouters, key youth and award recipients in the District are highly encouraged to attend. Nominations from units should be submitted through the unit leader or unit committee chair to the Ute District Awards Committee at any time during the year, but not later than the Ute District December Roundtable to allow adequate time for careful consideration of each nomination. Nominations can be delivered to the Council Service Center, our District Executives or members of the District Committee or District Commissioner Staff. Nomination forms are available at Roundtable; at the Council Service Center; through your Unit Commissioner; through the District Committee, the District Executive, and they're also available for download below.

The Ute District Spark Plug Award |
|
|
|
|
The Ute District Spark Plug Award is presented to one Scouter in each Unit, approved by the Unit Committee Chair, in recognition of their tireless effort and endless enthusiasm supporting youth in Packs, Troops, Teams, or Crews. The award recipient is CHOSEN BY THE UNIT and the Ute District Awards Committee would only intervene in extremely unusual circumstances.

The Ute Tribal Award is presented to Scouters who have served with distinction at a level beyond the requirements of their primary registered Scouting position OR who have stepped forward to render noteworthy service at the District or Council level. |

The Ute District Scouter of the Year Award |
|
|
|
|
The Ute District Scouter of the Year Award is presented in recognition of exceptional service to units, youth, and Scouting while serving in a primary registered position as an Adult Leader. The number of awards in each category is not limited and will be determined each year by the Ute District Awards Committee.

The Bob White Outstanding Commissioner Service Award |

The Bob White Outstanding Commissioner Service Award is named in honor of BOB WHITE, whose lifetime of service to Scouting has made a positive impact on the lives of young people in Southern Colorado. It is presented In recognition of significant efforts to deliver quality Commissioner Service to Scouting units in Ute District, Pikes Peak Council and recipients are selected by the Ute District Commissioner.

Ute District Lifetime Achievement Award |

The Ute District Lifetime Achievement Award is presented, when warranted, at the discretion of the Ute District Awards Committee. As the name suggests, the award is designed to recognize a lifetime of significant, positive impact on the Scouting Program and the youth in Scouting |

Ute District Award of Merit |
|
|
|
|
The Ute District Award of Merit is a Council-level award presented by Ute District and, as such, is the highest award a Scouter may receive in Ute District. The District Award of Merit is available to registered adult Scouters who have rendered service of an outstanding nature at the District level. The award is made annually on the basis of one award for each twenty-five units or fraction thereof, registered on December 31st.

The Ute District Talon Award is presented to is presented annually to deserving youth aged 14 –17 (Venturing and Sea Scouting youth ages are 14 – 20) registered and current in youth positions in either Boy Scouting, Venturing, or Sea Scouting. Nominated youth should be active in their Troop, Crew, or Ship and have rendered noteworthy volunteer service at the District, Council, Region, National or International level. An adult leader with first hand knowledge of the Scout’s performance should nominate the youth for this award. |
